The sculpture refers to the vanlife hype: young people who set off on a journey in their car in search of meaning and spirituality.
The phenomenon of Rainbow Gatherings also clearly shows how many young people have a great longing for a deceleration of everyday life, an identity-forming community, spirituality in a return to the essentials and a connection to nature. In order to meet these needs, people fall back on adopted rituals.
Our region is shaped by the automotive industry, technology and consumption determine our
dentity. The whimsical fusion caricatures the effects of this industry on people and their needs.
